Mexican honeysuckle is a flowering accent shrub. It’s an evergreen, mostly herbaceous perennial shrub. Slow to establish, moderate to 3 to 5 feet in height with equal to greater spread. Foliage has light green leaves to 2 inches long. Flowers sporadically most of the year, most intensely during spring. Heat loving, cold tolerant to 26oF. Hummingbirds frequent Mexican honeysuckle when in flower.
