The Blue Flame Agave is very graceful, small- to medium-sized, heavily clumping agave that welcomes some afternoon sun protection in Phoenix in order to survive (not meant for a highly exposed landscape). Like its landscape cousin, the Blue Glow Agave, this agave hybrid is quite popular. Evergreen, succulent and fibrous, this grows to 3-feet tall and 3-feet wide with copious, densely arrayed basal offshoots that can ultimately clump and spread to 6- to 8-feet wide.
