Citrus - Lemon - Eureka
Citrus - Lemon - Eureka
Eureka is similar to the lemons you’ll find at the grocery store. They are large & juicy with very few seeds. It is generally more ridged, usually with a rougher rind surface and a smaller or less pronounced nipple. The tree is moderately vigorous and smaller than the Lisbon variety. It’s more frost sensitive so it’s better suited to areas where frost damage seldom occurs. The fruit have a smooth medium thin rind, high juice content, high acid level, low number of seeds and good flavor. The trees are less thorny than many other lemon varieties, which makes picking easier. In its early years Eureka is more productive than Lisbon and the harvest season remains longer also when fully grown, starting in late winter and continuing through spring till early summer.
